Complex organisations often have complex stories. My work is to make them understandable, relevant and credible.
Over more than two decades in communications, I have worked with international companies, public institutions and industry organisations across technology, energy, infrastructure and other sectors.
This portfolio is being reconstructed from my professional archive – not simply from a list of client logos, but from the actual communications plans, press materials, media coverage, events and other work behind them.
CISCO SYSTEMS
Making complex technology newsworthy across the Baltics
Technology · International PR · Media Relations · Executive Communications
Lithuania & Baltics · 2001 – 2006
In the early 2000s, networking, IP communications, wireless infrastructure and enterprise security were transforming the way organisations worked. The communications challenge was to make these technologies meaningful beyond the technology community.
I supported Cisco Systems as a PR Project Manager and communications consultant, initially in Lithuania and later through Baltic-wide initiatives.
WHAT I WORKED ON
My work included technology storytelling, media relations, executive communications, press meetings and interviews, press materials, owned content and communications around seminars, roadshows and major technology events. It also meant adapting global Cisco stories for local audiences without losing their technical credibility.

SELECTED WORK
2001 · Cisco executive visit
Communications around Cisco Vice President Andy Lockhart’s visit included a press kit, press meeting and media programme, with coverage across Lithuanian news, business and radio media.
2002 · Security & IP communications
Communications around the Cisco Security Solutions Seminar and AVVID Live on Tour helped translate networking, security and IP communications into stories for business and technology audiences.
2003 · WITFOR
Cisco and its partners provided the converged data and voice infrastructure for the World Information Technology Forum in Vilnius. I was named as PR Project Manager and media contact in the international press material.
2006 · Cisco Expo across the Baltics
The work developed into a Baltic communications programme around Cisco Expo events in Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn, including media relations, invitations, press releases and executive interviews.
WHAT THIS EXPERIENCE TAUGHT ME
Technology communication is rarely about explaining technology alone. It is about understanding why a technical development matters to the people expected to use it, invest in it, regulate it or write about it. That principle has remained relevant throughout my later work in energy, infrastructure and other technically complex sectors.
ORACLE
Making enterprise technology relevant to local business
Enterprise Technology · Media Relations · Content · Events
Lithuania, with Baltic context · 2003 – 2007
Enterprise software presents a particular communications challenge: much of its value is invisible to anyone outside the organisation using it.
My work supporting Oracle communications through KOKO PR involved turning international technology developments into stories relevant to Lithuanian business and technology audiences.
WHAT I WORKED ON
My work included media relations, localisation of international technology stories, press materials, business and technology content, events and direct communication with Oracle audiences. The work connected global Oracle developments with Lithuanian business needs while also extending into Baltic communication initiatives.

SELECTED WORK
2003 · Oracle E-Business Suite in Lithuanian
Communications around the Lithuanian localisation of Oracle E-Business Suite turned a global enterprise-software development into a local business story. Archived Lithuanian and English materials name me as the media contact.
2004 – 2005 · Building direct communication
The archive documents development of an Oracle newsletter concept for business and technical audiences, including editorial structure, translation and a coordinated workflow across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
2006 · Oracle, partners and business
Communications connected Oracle technology with its local partner ecosystem and business developments. Archived material around Oracle and Lithuanian IT company Elsis is preserved together with subsequent BNS and Verslo žinios coverage.
2007 · Oracle Database 11g
Communications around new Oracle technology continued the work of translating international product developments into locally relevant stories for business and technology media.
WHAT THIS EXPERIENCE TAUGHT ME
A global technology story cannot simply be translated into another language. It has to be translated into another context. The audience needs to understand not only what the technology does, but why it matters to their organisation, market and everyday decisions.
EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT
Bringing a European campaign to Lithuania
Institutional Campaign · International Coordination · Public Communication
Lithuania · 2008 – 2009
I contributed to the Lithuanian implementation of the European Parliament’s 2009 election information campaign through KOKO PR, the Lithuanian partner of the Scholz & Friends European network.
My documented involvement included local campaign planning, adaptation of international concepts and coordination with the European Parliament Information Office in Lithuania. The work connected a common European campaign with practical national implementation.
WHAT I WORKED ON
My work included local campaign planning, adaptation of international concepts and coordination with the European Parliament Information Office in Lithuania. I contributed to work around campaign content, leaflet concepts, public-transport communication, locations and implementation deadlines, working within an international agency network to translate a common European campaign into national execution.

SELECTED WORK
2008 – 2009 · Localising a European campaign
Working with the European Parliament Information Office in Lithuania and the international agency network, the team adapted common European campaign concepts to the Lithuanian context, coordinating local content, formats, locations and implementation.
2009 · One million voter-information leaflets
The campaign included the production of one million voter-information leaflets for distribution with voting certificates. A signed confirmation from the Head of the European Parliament Information Office in Lithuania records the efficient implementation of this work by KOKO PR.
2009 · Public communication across five cities
Public-transport advertising brought the European Parliament campaign into five Lithuanian cities. The archive preserves both implementation documentation and photographs of the campaign in public space.
2009 · EuroparlTV digital outreach
The work also extended into digital communication around EuroparlTV. The retained campaign report records nine positive Lithuanian website outcomes, supported by archived website captures showing banners, links and news items.
RESULT & EVIDENCE
The strongest surviving evidence is a signed confirmation dated 11 June 2009 from the Head of the European Parliament Information Office in Lithuania. It confirms the implementation by KOKO PR of the one-million-copy leaflet project and public-transport advertising.
For me, this project represents an early example of international institutional communication: translating a common European campaign into practical national implementation while coordinating international partners, an institutional client and local audiences.
CEWEP
Leading communication dialogue across Europe’s Waste-to-Energy sector
Energy · Waste-to-Energy · International Association · Communication Leadership
Europe · Chair, Communication Working Group · 2020–Present
Waste-to-Energy sits at the intersection of energy, waste management, climate policy, technology and public acceptance. Communicating it therefore means working with technically complex issues that are often part of wider political and public debate.
As Chair of CEWEP’s Communication Working Group, I have brought practical experience from Lithuania into a European professional forum, working with communication colleagues from across the sector to exchange experience, discuss common challenges and develop stronger approaches to communication.
WHAT I WORKED ON
My work has included chairing international communication discussions, shaping meeting agendas, moderating the exchange of experience between member organisations and bringing Lithuanian sector experience into European-level dialogue. Topics have ranged from communication evaluation and knowledge-sharing to workshop development, proactive sector communication and planning communication sessions for CEWEP Congresses.

SELECTED WORK
2020–Present · European communication leadership
As Chair of CEWEP’s Communication Working Group, I have led a European professional forum bringing together communication colleagues from the Waste-to-Energy sector to exchange experience, discuss shared challenges and develop stronger approaches to communication.
2020–Present · Knowledge-sharing across the sector
A central part of the work has been connecting communication experience from different European markets – sharing practical approaches, discussing emerging issues and learning from how organisations communicate in different national contexts.
2020–Present · Bringing Lithuanian experience into the European discussion
I have brought practical experience from Lithuania’s Waste-to-Energy sector into CEWEP discussions, while also bringing European knowledge, examples and communication approaches back into the Lithuanian context.
2021 · Proactive sector communication and Congress planning
One documented example from the professional archive shows my work on moving sector communication beyond a purely reactive approach, as well as preparing discussions around communication priorities and a CEWEP Congress communication session.
RESULT & EVIDENCE
My role as Chair of CEWEP’s Communication Working Group has continued from 2020 to the present, providing a long-term platform for European communication leadership, professional exchange and collaboration across the Waste-to-Energy sector.
The professional archive provides particularly strong documentary evidence from 2021, including CEWEP meeting minutes and agendas naming me as Chair, together with working materials documenting my involvement in communication evaluation, knowledge-sharing, proactive communication and Congress-session planning.
For me, CEWEP represents the progression from national communication leadership into sustained European-level collaboration – connecting people, experience and communication practice across countries around technically complex and publicly sensitive issues.
FORTUM
Leading the communications function for a major energy investor in Lithuania
Energy · Waste-to-Energy · Corporate Communications · Public Affairs
Lithuania · Long-term communications partnership
Fortum’s investment in Lithuania brought together energy infrastructure, district heating, waste management, local communities and intense public scrutiny. Communicating it required much more than media relations: it meant maintaining an ongoing communications function able to work with management, journalists, authorities, communities and international colleagues.
Through KOKO PR, I effectively served as Fortum’s principal communicator in Lithuania. I was not a Fortum employee; the communications function was delivered through the agency. My role combined strategic planning, executive counsel and spokesperson responsibilities with media relations, community dialogue, public affairs, digital and internal communication, and international coordination.
WHAT I WORKED ON
My work covered strategic communication planning, executive counsel and spokesperson duties, media and public affairs, community dialogue, crisis communication, digital and internal channels, and coordination with Fortum’s international teams. A major part of the role was communication around new energy infrastructure – explaining complex projects, responding to public concerns and maintaining long-term relationships with journalists, communities and other stakeholders.

SELECTED WORK
2012 · Building the communications function
The work developed into an ongoing communications function for Fortum in Lithuania, combining regular counsel to country management with press-office support, media relations, Q&A preparation and spokesperson and media training.
2013 · Klaipėda plant inauguration
I coordinated communications and stakeholder engagement around the inauguration of Fortum’s Klaipėda Waste-to-Energy plant, including media relations, press materials, executive communication and on-site media coordination. The official Lithuanian press release named me as Fortum’s press spokesperson.
2012–2017 · Community dialogue and access
A major part of the work was direct engagement with communities around new energy infrastructure. This included community meetings, stakeholder briefings, plant visits and study visits to Stockholm, creating opportunities to discuss concerns directly and see Waste-to-Energy operations in practice.
2017–2018 · Digital, internal and international communication
The communications function also covered Fortum’s Lithuanian website and social channels, employee communication and reporting to corporate teams. The work increasingly connected Lithuanian experience with Fortum’s wider international communication and the European Waste-to-Energy community.
RESULT & EVIDENCE
The professional archive documents the breadth and continuity of this work through communication plans, activity reports, contracts, media materials and presentations. A 2014 communication plan identifies me as one of Fortum’s main spokespeople in Lithuania, while the 2013 Klaipėda plant inauguration press release names me as Fortum’s press spokesperson and media contact.
Later materials show how the role extended beyond media relations into community engagement, digital and employee communication, management reporting and international coordination. A 2017 communication presentation records 53,921 people reached, 15,965 video views and 539 reactions, comments and shares for a Waste-to-Energy event livestreamed through Fortum Lietuva’s Facebook channel.
For me, Fortum represents the progression from communications consultant to effectively performing the role of a national communications function — working alongside management over many years and connecting corporate strategy with journalists, communities, stakeholders and the wider European energy sector.
